The Leicestershire communityPortals software was developed by Loughborough-based Web design and multimedia company Cuttlefish Multimedia Ltd under contract to Leicestershire County Council. It is now available as open source.
The 'Leicestershire Community' Web site serves as a distribution point for the Community Portals software package and provides a gateway to the various implementations of communityPortals that are currently in operation.
